This service offers entry to opinions of the Alaska Supreme Court and Alaska Court of Appeals. Included on the site are all opinions dated from 1960 and published in West’s Pacific Reporter and West’s Alaska Reporter through the newest Advance Sheets, as well as unpublished opinions.
Remember that you should know each the topic AND the key quantity to search the digests. Because of the parallel system between state courts and federal courts, researching case law may be difficult and complex. A researcher will usually want to find out if their issue is one that is inherently federal or state.
On the opposite hand, some reporters contains instances from courts within a particular geographical area, also known as regional reporters.
